South Fork Glass Blanks are built using E-Glass material with thermo active polyester resin. The modulus of E-Glass gives the blank a better Hoop strength than other types of glass. This is a critical part to maintaining a consistent short range load on your casting stroke. It also adds to the durability of the rod from accidents like a fall or being stepped on. It's the highest quality E-Glass you can buy in the U.S. The blanks are rolled by Margot, trimmed and ferruled by David. Blanks and finished rods have a spiral blank non-sanded finish. New for 2011 we will be offering a sanded clear coat option. Because of the moderate slow action we feel you can easily go up ad down a line weight. These are fun up close tapers.
